"Mother Earth's climate stability is literally on thin ice. Nothing expresses this state of affairs more poignantly and in real time than The Last Ice Project. It is a spear point into the heart, awakening our original knowing that to allow the frozen crown jewel of our planet, the Arctic, to melt away on our watch puts next generations of humanity and all species in great peril. It calls us to make better Global Choices." — Sally Ann Ranney, Co-founder & President, Global Choices Photo: courtesy of Sally Ann Ranney.
Sally is President and Co-Founder of Global Choices – whose mission is to drive action on the ice crisis in the Arctic and Antarctica – and the Arctic Angels, a global leadership network of young women climate justice activists. Environmental strategist, activist and visionary, for four decades she has worked with leaders around the world and activated countless organizations to advance environmental protection.
Sally is a foundational partner on this quest. She was inspired by Inuit shaman Angaangaq’s words 15 years ago when she first heard him speak of melting the ice in men’s hearts to save the Big Ice and the planet. Her belief and support is invaluable to the project.
